LED spotlights are much more energy efficient and last a lot longer than traditional halogen bulbs. they output the same amount of light, but use only a fraction of the power to do so. The majority are made from heat-resistant thermal plastic, but there are glass-bodied alternatives that look more like traditional bulbs. All LED spotlights are designed to retrofit to existing fixtures, so replacing your old bulbs is easy.
The beam angle of a spotlight makes a big difference to how it lights a room. The narrower the beam angle, the less surface area that the spotlight covers. For example, an LED spotlight with a beam angle of 40° would be ideal for lighting small areas, or particular objects in a room, while a light with a beam angle of 120° would be much more suited to general lighting applications.
