LED Tube Lights

LED tubes replace the traditional, high-energy fluorescent tubes used in many offices and workplaces today. They are available in two different types: T8 tubes, and T5 tubes. The T8 tube is the largest type that is widely available, and is most commonly used for lighting larger spaces. T5 tubes are narrower and unlike T8 tubes, they can be installed in one continuous strip.

LED tubes are a long-lasting, energy efficient alternative to traditional fluorescent tubes.

They emit the same amount of light as fluorescent tubes, but use only a fraction of the power to do so. Available in various lengths and in several different diameters, LED tubes offer versatile lighting solutions for any commercial environment.

T8 tubes are one of the most common types, and they most commonly used in larger spaces like supermarkets and warehouses. They measure 26mm in diameter and are fitted using the two small pins at each end (sometimes referred to as G13 fittings, as the pins are 13mm apart). Extra care should be taken when installing LED tubes as they are fragile

The other common type of LED tubes are T5 tubes. The fitting for these looks similar to T8 tubes, but is referred to as a G5 tube, as the pins are only 5mm apart. The tubes are 16mm in diameter and are good for lighting offices and kitchens. Although they are narrower, T5 tubes can be installed in one continuous strip.
