Crompton Lamps LED Candle 4W E27 Filament Warm White Pearl (40W Eqv)

£4.17

This 4W LED candle bulb is part of a wider range that has been developed by Crompton Lamps as a means of replacing its outgoing antique filament range

These decorative bulbs, popular though they were, were deemed to be too inefficient by the European Union and subsequently banned in February 2016.For those of you already lamenting the demise of these bulbs - never fear. Their enduring popularity led Crompton to develop this new range of LED equivalents. Each bulb in the range delivers form and function equally with the same gorgeous, retro styling no longer stymied by the restraints of outdated filament technology. The tungsten filaments found in these older bulbs have given way to four LED filaments, resulting in a gorgeous, traditional aesthetic that belies the bulb's ultra-modern specification. These filaments, albeit similar in appearance, are much more efficient and robust than their traditional counterparts.Where a traditional bulb might use approximately 45W to produce 470 lumens, these modern LED bulbs use just 4W. This - coupled with the bulb's vastly superior nominal lifetime of 10,000 hours - has the potential to reduce lighting bills by up to 90%.The bulb's standard candle shape and E27 fitment enable it to retrofit directly to any existing fitting designed to accept similar bayonet cap bulbs. What are Antique Filament Bulbs?Elegant yet industrial, intricate yet masculine, antique filament bulbs evoke the memory of Edison's early design and recreate the aesthetic of the Victorian age. Hung from the ceiling in exposed clusters or used in singular, shaded fittings, these bulbs manage to be both simple and sophisticated with the raw beauty of the filament elevated to the fore of their design.

What doesn't our warranty cover?

In any instance where your bulb has developed a fault, we will do our utmost to replace it or offer a full refund (provided the item is still within its stated warranty period). However, if it becomes apparent that the product has been misused, tampered with or modified in any way, we will view this as having voided its warranty.

'Misuse" includes, but is not limited to, incorrect operation by the user, use of non-dimmable bulbs on a dimmable circuit or connection to or operation with an unsuitable power supply. 'Tampering' or 'modification' can be interpreted as any activity designed to alter the product in such a way that it can be used in a manner that wasn't intended by its original design. This can include rewiring, removing plugs, home repairs or changing components. Unfortunately, we won't be able to replace any item that has undergone any such process.

If you have any further questions about our Warranty or Returns Policy that aren't addressed on this page, please feel free to contact us.
