Frequently Bought Together

Is it really an LED, or is it a traditional incandescent bulb? You'd certainly be forgiven for asking the question.

The four slender LED filaments clearly visible inside this GLS bulb are designed to mimic those of the popular antique traditional bulbs that were banned by the European Union in February 2016.

In the wake of this wide-ranging ban on inefficient incandescent light bulbs, manufacturers have been forced to find a way of preserving the popular antique aesthetic while abiding by the EU's definitions of efficiency.

The LED GLS bulb pictured above is part of a range that has been developed by Crompton Lamps to do exactly that.

The result is a fully dimmable bulb that offers the best of both worlds, with the gorgeous aesthetic of Edison's traditional design powered by 21st century electronics.

Where this modern LED bulb only uses 7.5W, the older versions it replaces would have used around 60W to produce the same 806 lumens.

Add to this a far superior nominal lifetime of 10,000 hours (as opposed to 1,000 hours) and this LED bulb has the potential to reduce your lighting bill by up to 90%, without compromising your decor in any way.

Here at SimplyLED, we want you to be able to buy with confidence both in ourselves and the products we sell. With this in mind, a number of our bulbs carry a specific warranty that ensures you can do exactly that.

Any LED or LED Smart light bulb bought from SimplyLED carries a 24-month warranty.

If you should purchase an LED light bulb from SimplyLED and have it fail, break or develop a fault at any point within the timeline stated above from the date of purchase, we will happily replace the item or offer a full refund, depending on your wishes.

In instances where large numbers of bulbs fail within a relatively short period of time, we may ask you to return them to us so that they can undergo testing to identify any potential issues.

Manufacturers Warranty

This product is also covered by a manufacturer's warranty for a period of 2 years from date of purchase. Please visit the manufacturer's website for further details.

What doesn't our warranty cover?

In any instance where your bulb has developed a fault, we will do our utmost to replace it or offer a full refund (provided the item is still within its stated warranty period). However, if it becomes apparent that the product has been misused, tampered with or modified in any way, we will view this as having voided its warranty.

'Misuse" includes, but is not limited to, incorrect operation by the user, use of non-dimmable bulbs on a dimmable circuit or connection to or operation with an unsuitable power supply. 'Tampering' or 'modification' can be interpreted as any activity designed to alter the product in such a way that it can be used in a manner that wasn't intended by its original design. This can include rewiring, removing plugs, home repairs or changing components. Unfortunately, we won't be able to replace any item that has undergone any such process.

If you have any further questions about our Warranty or Returns Policy that aren't addressed on this page, please feel free to contact us.
