Ledvance LED DULUX® L18 PLL 8W 4-Pin Value Class HF & AC Mains Cool White Frosted
Experience the next evolution in lighting technology with these Ledvance 8W LED replacement PLL light bulbs.
As EU/UK regulations phase out compact fluorescent bulbs, seize the opportunity to upgrade to LED for a brighter, more sustainable tomorrow. Bid farewell to outdated CFL push fit bulbs and usher in a new era of superior performance and energy efficiency.
Crafted to effortlessly replace old 18W CFL bulbs while maintaining comparable brightness, this LED bulb consumes only 44% of the energy, resulting in a substantial 56% saving on your energy bills. Emitting a brilliant 1000 lumens at 125lm/W of cool white light (4000K), it's the perfect lighting solution for a diverse range of commercial applications, delivering optimal illumination precisely where it's needed most.
Featuring a 2G11 4-Pin base, this bulb seamlessly integrates into any 2G11 4-Pin HF & AC Mains fitting.
With an extraordinary lifespan of 30,000 hours, once installed, you can enjoy up to 16.4 years of uninterrupted illumination (based on 5-hours use per day), sparing you the hassle and expense of frequent replacements.
These bulbs can be used on both Electronic Ballast (ECG) or AC mains. Please check the latest ECG compatibility list here. Not for use with CCG. For use with AC mains these bulbs need to be wired directly to mains 240V voltage. Modification of the light fitting may be necessary, and we highly recommend enlisting the expertise of a qualified electrician for installation.
It's worth noting that this LED bulb is stepping in to replace the now-banned CFL technology, aligning with the industry's shift towards sustainable lighting practices. Learn more about the ban and its implications for your lighting choices in our comprehensive guide to the ban on compact fluorescent bulbs.
CFL (compact fluorescent lamp) bulbs had been a popular choice for energy-efficient lighting for many years. However, they had some drawbacks that made them less than ideal. For one, CFL bulbs contain mercury, a toxic substance that can be harmful to both humans and the environment. This makes them difficult to dispose of properly. Additionally, CFL bulbs took some time to reach full brightness, and they could also flicker and hum. This was a nuisance for some people, and could also cause headaches and eye strain.
These LED (light-emitting diode) bulbs, on the other hand, do not contain any toxic substances and are much more energy-efficient than CFL bulbs. LED bulbs are also instant-on, so do not have the same warm-up time as CFL bulbs, and they do not flicker or hum. This makes them a more comfortable and convenient option for lighting your home or office.
LED replacement retrofit and direct-to-mains push-fit bulbs represent the future of lighting technology, offering unparalleled energy efficiency and longevity. By making the switch to LED, you can enjoy significant cost savings, reduce your carbon footprint, and contribute to a more sustainable future for generations to come.
