How To Make LED Cloud Lights
26th Mar 2023
These amazing decorations look awesome for any occasion. They would look great in a baby’s nursery or a young girl's fairy-tale styled bedroom. Or make them for your wedding reception and hang them around the room to create the ultimate dream fantasy evening. Matched with a starry, fairy-light lit ceiling, it would create an amazing look. And the best thing is they are super easy to make in a few simple steps.
Materials
- Cotton wool (preferably in a large roll)
- Paper Lantern
- LED Flameless Candle
- Hot Glue Gun
Instructions
- Prepare the Cotton Wool:
Gently pull apart the cotton wool into fluffy clouds. The more you tug and tease it, the fluffier your clouds will become.
- Apply the Glue:
Using your hot glue gun, apply small dots of glue to various spots on the inside of the paper lantern. Be sure to spread the glue evenly.
- Attach the Cotton Wool:
Press the fluffy cotton wool onto the glued areas. Continue adding cotton wool until the lantern is almost completely covered. For a more realistic cloud effect, vary the sizes and shapes of the cotton wool pieces.
- Insert the LED Candle:
Once the lantern is covered, carefully place the LED flameless candle inside. Ensure the candle is securely positioned and won't tip over.
- Hang and Display:
Hang your LED cloud light in a prominent location. Consider using ribbon or string to suspend it from the ceiling or a wall.
Customization and Ideas
- Add Bling:
Enhance the lights with glitter, sequins, or small jewels for a touch of sparkle.
- Create a Cloud Theme:
Decorate your child's room with a cloud theme. Use cotton wool to adorn furniture, walls, or even the bedposts.
- Experiment with Colours:
Try using different coloured LED candles or lanterns for a more vibrant and playful look.
